Banjo SB-000 – Sold
Serial Number SB-000, this banjo was originally named the Ozark Songbird and was built for Jeremy Myers’ personal banjo. Jeremy decided to move to Alaska in 2014 in an attempt to try something new. While there, it was decided to change the name of his company to Snowbird Banjo Company in an effort to avoid confusion with names of other banjo companies. Since then, Jeremy decided that Alaska was not for him and his family and have moved back to the Missouri Ozarks and has settled down just north of Ava Missouri. The new name will continue to be used and it is hoped that in 2018 production may once again re-begin.
Sold to a family member, this banjo is an 11-inch custom built banjo made of walnut and having an ebony tone ring and trim. The laminated neck can be varied for desired look, but by default, will have a maple laminate to increase the strength of the neck as well as an aircraft aluminum strength rod running the length of the neck.
Currently the starting price for the budget priced banjo is $850.00. These are standard built and contain simple inlay designs. The Premium banjo rate starts at $1200 and one third of the purchase price down payment is required. Custom builds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for added costs.
