First Steps to Re-Launch

Since our April 25th announcement about the re-launch of Snowbird Banjo Company, we’ve encountered a few setbacks as well as some unexpected changes to our original plan.

At first, we intended to build on the property where we currently live. However, after much consideration, we realized that this approach didn’t quite fit the long-term vision we have for the re-launch. We then explored the possibility of purchasing a neighboring piece of land that wasn’t being used. Although our initial offer was declined, we eventually reached an agreement after presenting a fair proposal, and the property is now ours.

Over the following months, our focus shifted entirely to securing this new land. Once that was complete, we could finally begin reworking our plans for the future of Snowbird Banjo Company.

Founded in 2018, Snowbird Banjo Company operated initially from a small house/shop until 2023, when a need for more space forced a shutdown amid evolving family living situations. However, in the winter of 2024, a renewed vision emerged, prompting the decision to re-launch with refined processes and enhancements, all while maintaining the core values that define Snowbird’s craftsmanship

Snowbird Banjo is closed, But…

It has been a little over a year since I posted news that Snowbird Banjo Company was shutting down, and it seems time has flashed by. But during that time, this mild “mid-life crisis” has played itself out, at least for now, and I have been considering reopening the business. I no longer have a shop, I have a place where one will soon be started and my gears are turning about how I can make this attempt better than last time.
